Aion2.exe closes with error code 0xE0000027, either during launch or after a period of play — one report has it confirmed in a screenshot as "Aion2.exe - 0xE0000027."
This code has shown up in two separate Reddit threads, and the evidence points at more than one distinct software conflict rather than a single universal cause — treat these as separate things to try, not one fix. In the larger thread, the original poster disabled a Windows EmptyStandbyList scheduled task and reported success, though that's a single unreplicated report. Two other, separate commenters each reported fixing it a different way: one by removing Process Lasso, another more recently by closing System Informer. A second, shorter thread with a screenshot-verified 0xE0000027 error adds useful corroboration: its original poster also explicitly confirmed that removing Process Lasso fixed it for them — independent of the commenter in the first thread who said the same thing. That's two separate people, in two separate threads, both landing on Process Lasso, which is the strongest single lead here. A different commenter in that second thread instead fixed it by closing a duplicate AION 2 process running in the background.
