Gears of War: E-Day reaver-tyrus: can't queue ranked

You are kicked from a Versus or ranked match with "reaver-tyrus", sent to the menu, and then cannot queue ranked again.
Also appears as: reaver-tyrus, reaver tyrus, reavertyrus, ticker tyrus, ticker-tyrus, gears e-day error code reaver-tyrus, gears of war e-day can't queue ranked
Players report reaver-tyrus after being kicked from Versus or a ranked match. They land on the menu and cannot queue ranked again, while other online services may still work. Some players write it as "ticker tyrus".
It appears in the r/GearsOfWar post-October 14 patch bug megathread (17 upvotes, 67 comments) and in a separate thread. Verifying files and syncing the PC clock only helped temporarily or not at all. One player said the error followed their account to another PC, which points at the account or service. No developer reply. Check the live status page.

Verify/repair and syncing the PC clock didn't fix it
Players in the October 14 patch bug megathread reported that verifying or repairing the game files and syncing the PC clock only helped temporarily or did not resolve it. One player reported the error followed their account to a different PC, so a reinstall or a new machine may not help.
