AION 2 "Unable to Connect to Login Server" error

Trying to log in shows "Unable to Connect to Login Server" (sometimes paired with a "no active connection" state) and the client never gets past it, no matter how many times you retry.
Also appears as: unable to connect to login server, unable to connect to server, unable to connect to game server, unable to connect to login server the client will now close, unable to connect to server the client will now close, no active connection aion 2, login server down, cant connect to aion 2
"Unable to Connect to Login Server" and near-identical wording like "unable to connect to server" or "game server" all describe the client failing to reach NCSoft's connection infrastructure. No source treats these as separately diagnosed problems, so they're grouped as one connection-failure family.
Every report here comes from AION 2's historical Taiwan service, not the global PC version, whose Early Access opened September 30, 2026 — old Taiwan routing workarounds aren't guaranteed to apply on the global servers.
The only workarounds that circulate are paid routing/VPN products whose vendor replied in the same threads. This page doesn't list them: they aren't independent, NCSoft hasn't confirmed either one, and rerouting your connection can conflict with a game's terms of service.

A specific "Aion 1 / Tokyo 3" route through ExitLag was reported working by one thread's original poster, with an unverified claim that several legion members also used it. The same poster and another user later said this route stopped working after a maintenance pass — treat it as obsolete rather than a current fix.

No confirmed fix yet. NCSoft hasn't acknowledged a login-server problem in these reports. Check the AION 2 status page on this site (/aion-2/) and NCSoft's official notice board for maintenance before retrying; this page will be updated if a fix is published.
