Gears of War: E-Day lucas-gnasher: reward expired

Collectibles or rewards show at the main menu, but accepting them fails with "lucas-gnasher: This reward has expired or been removed".
Also appears as: lucas-gnasher, lucas gnasher, lucasgnasher, This reward has expired or been removed, gears e-day error code lucas-gnasher, gears of war e-day reward expired, gears of war e-day can't accept rewards, gears of war e-day campaign rewards missing
lucas-gnasher is the code shown with "This reward has expired or been removed" when you accept rewards at the main menu. It looks like a reward service problem on The Coalition's side, not something on your PC.
One r/GearsOfWar post (2 upvotes, October 17) describes it after finishing the campaign on Hardcore: collectibles appeared, but accepting all rewards produced the error. A commenter said they repeatedly saw it in Horde. No developer reply and no fix. Check the live status page.
No problems reported in the last 15 minutes.

Replay a completed mission in a new campaign to re-earn rewards (unconfirmed)
The Coalition's October 14 patch notes say missing in-game rewards, such as skins and titles earned through Campaign completion, cannot be automatically re-granted, and that players can start a new campaign from a completed mission and re-play it to re-earn them. The notes do not mention lucas-gnasher, and nobody has said this clears the error. Missing collectibles are also not re-granted, but the game shows which ones are missing so you can re-collect them. See the Steam patch notes.
