AION 2 Error 1092 — Xsolla payment declined (fix)

Buying the Founder's Pack or an in-game item through Xsolla, NCSoft's payment processor, fails with "Error 1092". Apple Pay may show "Payment via Apple Pay was declined", even when the card works everywhere else.

Error 1092 is a payment check failing between Xsolla and your bank, not a problem with AION 2's servers or your PC. One r/Aion2 post on October 2 describes it failing across two banks, several cards and Apple Pay. Two commenters had similar Xsolla card problems.
The one fix reported so far went through the bank, not NCSoft. A player kept their bank's live chat open while retrying the purchase. The agent could see the temporary authorization Xsolla placed and told them the amount, so they could verify it. After that the Founder's Pack purchase went through. Contacting Xsolla support didn't solve it for the original poster. NCSoft hasn't commented.

Retry while your bank's live chat checks the authorization (one report)
Open your bank's live chat or phone support, then retry the purchase while they watch. Ask them to read out the temporary authorization amount Xsolla places, and verify it. One player bought the Founder's Pack straight afterwards this way.

Other cards, banks and Apple Pay didn't help the reporter
The original poster tried two different banks, several cards and Apple Pay, and contacted Xsolla support, without success. Apple Pay worked once for them on a second NC account but then failed on an in-game purchase, so switching payment methods isn't a dependable fix.
