AION 2 error 1138:100134 — failed to reset Steam account linking
Launching from Steam fails with "Failed to reset Steam account linking. Please check Steam's status and restart the game.(1138:100134)" and the game doesn't start.

NCSoft has an official answer for this one. Its support FAQ says the code "can appear in a variety of cases" and gives one fix: run Steam as an administrator, then launch the game again. If it still appears after that, NCSoft asks you to contact its Customer Service team.

What to try

Run Steam as administrator, then launch the game
Fully exit Steam (Steam → Exit), then right-click Steam → Run as administrator and start AION 2 again. This is the fix in NCSoft's support FAQ.

Contact NC Customer Service if it persists
NCSoft says to submit a request to Customer Service at help.plaync.com if the error continues after running Steam as administrator.
