Gears of War: E-Day marcus-gutpuncher: disconnected offline
The game shows "marcus-gutpuncher" and drops you offline, in the campaign or mid-match in Horde, and unsaved weapon parts are lost.

One Steam player (October 11) reported marcus-gutpuncher after being disconnected twice: once in the campaign and once in a Horde Siege match, losing a stack of weapon parts. One reply said the servers crash and they couldn't get back in.
That is all we found for this exact name. It is not on The Coalition's open beta known-issues list, and it is not marcus-lancer or elias-gutpuncher.
It coincides with the October 11 and 12 DDoS outage, which The Coalition confirmed; that overlap is our observation, not a statement from them. Check the live status page.

We found one thread with one reply, no developer reply and no fix. Weapon parts lost in the disconnect are not confirmed restored. This page will be updated if that changes.
