Gears of War: E-Day grinder-incinerator: Horde and Versus
The game shows "grinder-incinerator" in Horde or Versus. In Horde, one player was booted within about five minutes and the match was recorded as a defeat.

Players report grinder-incinerator in Horde and Versus. One Steam poster says it happens every match, so they can't play either mode. One r/GearsOfWar poster was booted from Horde within about five minutes and got a defeat.
Players in both threads suspected the servers, and nobody has a fix. We have seen no response from The Coalition. Check the live status page.

Install the game on an SSD (unverified suggestion)
One reply in the r/GearsOfWar thread (0 upvotes) said the fix is to have the game on an SSD. The original poster said they already use a suitable drive, so it did not apply to them. Nobody reported it working.
