AION 2 camera won't move with the mouse (cursor stuck)
Moving the mouse no longer turns the camera. The cursor stays on screen as if a menu were open, usually after opening the Steam overlay or Alt-Tabbing.

This is a client bug, not a server problem. About seven players described it in one Steam Discussions thread, and it also showed up in the playtest. The most common trigger is opening the Steam overlay (Shift+Tab) or Alt-Tabbing out of the game. When you come back, the mouse is stuck in cursor mode.
Restarting the game fixes it each time, and not opening the overlay stops it from coming back. NCSoft hasn't acknowledged it.
Fix it, step by step
Restart the game
Close AION 2 completely and relaunch. Players in the thread report this restores mouse camera control every time.
Avoid the Steam overlay and Alt-Tab
Don't open the Steam overlay (Shift+Tab) in-game, and avoid Alt-Tabbing. One player put it simply: not opening the overlay fixes it. To make it impossible, turn the overlay off in Steam → right-click AION 2 → Properties → General.
