This crash tracks back to Bitdefender, specifically its Advanced Threat Defense module flagging AION 2's own executable. Two separate players independently fixed it by adding a Bitdefender exclusion specifically for Aion2.exe under Advanced Threat Defense — that's a real, corroborated fix, not a single guess. One caveat worth being upfront about: the original poster in that thread also recovered after changing their exclusions, but did a full reinstall of the game at roughly the same time, so it's genuinely unclear whether the exclusion or the reinstall (or both) fixed it for them specifically. The two other players who added the same exclusion without reinstalling are the cleaner evidence here.
