AION 2 stuck on Korean age verification (ID or selfie)

Instead of the server list, a Korean-style age-verification screen appears and asks for an ID or a selfie. Its QR code never loads, so the login can't be completed.

Also appears as: aion 2 age verification, aion 2 asks for id, aion 2 selfie verification, aion 2 qr code not loading, aion 2 age 0

About six players reported this in Steam Discussions and the official bug forums during Early Access. Two of them tie it to Steam↔NC account linking: one said the new NC account was created "with an age of 0 years old". That suggests the account record is missing a birth date and the game fell back to a verification flow meant for Korea. That's a flag on NCSoft's side, not something on your PC.

There's no confirmed fix and no NCSoft acknowledgement yet.

    No confirmed fix yet

No reporter has found a way past this screen yet, and the QR code doesn't load for them. This page will be updated when that changes.

Check the birth date on your NC account (unconfirmed)

Log in at id.plaync.com and check whether your account shows a birth date. If you recently linked or unlinked Steam, you may be on a new, empty account. If so, see the Advanced Access page for how to get back to the original one.

Submit an inquiry to NC support

Report it at help.plaync.com with a screenshot of the verification screen. An account flag can only be cleared from NCSoft's side.
