Aniimo Steam controller not working (official fix)

A controller connected through Steam doesn't respond in Aniimo, even though Steam itself detects it.

Pawprint Studio's own pinned Steam Discussions FAQ names this directly and gives a one-step fix: Steam Input is intercepting the controller before Aniimo's own input handling gets it. Disabling Steam Input for the game hands control straight to Aniimo instead.

Disable Steam Input for Aniimo in Steam Library properties
In your Steam Library, right-click Aniimo → Manage → Properties → Controller, and switch it to "Disable Steam Input," then restart the game.
