Concurrent players on Steam right now. A real outage pulls this number down within minutes, so a normal count alongside a flat report count usually means the problem is on your end.

About Aniimo's servers

Aniimo is a free-to-play, open-world creature-catching MMO RPG developed and published by Pawprint Studio (a FunPlus-backed label), built around catching and “Twining” with creatures across the continent of Idyll. It’s on Steam (app 4126040, launched September 15–16, 2026), Xbox, and — as of today, September 23, 2026 — mobile on iOS and Android worldwide, all sharing the same Pawprint/FunPlus account system. Steam’s concurrent player count topped 100,000 within its first week, and Pawprint’s own launch post warned players directly that heavy demand could mean login queues and slower loading.

There’s no dedicated status dashboard; outages and maintenance are announced on the official news list at aniimo.com/newslist (mirrored to Steam’s news hub) and on the @Aniimo_EN account on X. Pawprint has also used its official “support” account inside Steam Discussions to post fixes directly, including acknowledging a launch-week “Progress Loss” issue tied to an account/domain migration and confirming a fix for network error 107 during teleportation. A 10-hour maintenance window (00:00–10:00 UTC+8) was announced in advance for September 23, 2026, the day mobile officially launched, with Glimmer currency issued afterward as compensation. If reports on this page spike without a matching announcement from Pawprint, that’s the clearest sign of an unannounced problem rather than scheduled downtime.

Maintenance, queues, and real outages

Three different things get reported as "Aniimo is down," and only one of them is an outage. The chart above is the fastest way to tell them apart, once there's data on it:

A real outage

Reports spike hard within an hour, then decay as the problem is fixed. Nobody announced it in advance.

Scheduled maintenance

Reports climb steadily and stay flat for the length of the window, because everyone hits the same wall at the same time and keeps hitting it.

A login queue

Matchmaking/login reports climb while server-connection reports stay low, and a Steam player count (if shown above) holds flat instead of dropping. The servers are up and full, not down — waiting is the only fix.

Announced maintenance would show up at the studio's own status channel or the official Discord before it shows up here.

If it's only broken for you

Most "is it down" moments aren't outages. Work down this list before assuming the servers are the problem — it's ordered by how often each one turns out to be the answer, not by how easy it is.

  1. 01

Check the report count above first

It costs nothing and it settles the question. A flat report count means other players are getting in fine, and everything below is worth your time. A spike means it isn't you, and none of it is.

  2. 02

    Verify the game files

In Steam: right-click Aniimo → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. A partial patch is the single most common cause of a game that launches and then fails to connect.

  3. 03

Restart the whole chain, in order

Game, then your launcher/Steam, then your router. People almost always do the first and skip the third — a stale router NAT table produces exactly the symptom people report as "servers down."

  4. 04

Rule out a VPN or restrictive network

A VPN fails matchmaking far more often than it fixes it, and so does a corporate or campus network that blocks the UDP ports a game server needs. If you're on a network you don't administer, that's the likely answer.

  5. 05

If it crashes rather than fails to connect, treat it as a crash

A game that starts and then dies, rather than never connecting, is usually a local fault — most often graphics drivers or overlay software, not the servers.

Aniimo server status: common questions

Is Aniimo down right now?

As of 01:25 UTC, 0 players have reported a problem in the last 15 minutes — counted as people, so repeat taps from one person don't inflate it. This page updates on every load.

Does Pawprint Studio publish an official Aniimo status page?

No dedicated uptime/status dashboard has been found. Outages and maintenance windows are announced on the official news list at aniimo.com/newslist (mirrored to the Steam news hub for app 4126040) and on the official @Aniimo_EN account on X. During the September 2026 launch week, Pawprint's own "support" account also posted directly into Steam Discussions threads, so that forum is worth checking too when something looks widespread.

When is Aniimo's maintenance usually scheduled, and how is it announced?

There's no fixed recurring schedule confirmed yet, but Pawprint has posted maintenance windows in advance on the official Steam news hub — most recently a 10-hour window from 00:00 to 10:00 (UTC+8) on September 23, 2026, the day mobile officially launched, covering the version 1.1 update. An earlier maintenance period around the mobile pre-launch was also compensated afterward with Glimmer currency once servers came back up. Check the news hub or Discord before assuming a login problem is on your end during any announced update window.

What server regions does Aniimo use, and can I switch between them?

Players pick a server (Pawprint's own launch materials list regions including Aniimo-Europe) from a server-selection screen before "Start Adventure." Switching to a different region without switching back is itself a documented cause of players wrongly believing they lost their progress — Pawprint's own "Progress Loss" advisory specifically lists "selected a different server region" as one explanation, with the fix being to switch back to your original region.

What Pawprint said about the Progress Loss issue →

Why do I get stuck in a login queue or long load at launch?

Pawprint warned about this directly in its own "Aniimo is now live on Steam" launch post: "With so many Pathfinders joining us at launch, you may run into login queues or slower loading times." That's expected behavior during a big concurrent spike (Steam alone has shown 100,000+ concurrent players around launch), not a sign anything is broken — the advice is to keep a stable connection, close unneeded background programs, and be patient rather than repeatedly relaunching.

Do PC and mobile Aniimo share the same account, server, and progress?

They're meant to, through the same Pawprint/FunPlus account system, but players have reported this syncing unreliably in practice — a Steam Discussions thread titled "has anyone been able to sync the steam version with the mobile version?" got no confirmed working answer as of this page's last check. If you're moving between PC and mobile, log in with the same linked account on both and don't create a fresh character on the second platform before confirming your existing progress is visible there.

Is 'Account login failed. Log in again.' a sign the servers are down?

Not necessarily — it's Aniimo's single most-reported login problem, and it has affected players even while Steam's concurrent count showed the game running normally, which points at least partly at account/authentication handling rather than a blanket outage. See this site's dedicated page for what's been tried and what hasn't worked.

What does Aniimo's network error 107 mean?

Pawprint's own Steam Discussions "support" account confirmed 107 ("Network Disconnected") when teleporting to the Idyll region was fixed in patch 1.0.3551601.0 — but at least one player reported it recurring afterward. It's a server/connection-side code, not something caused by your local files.
