Aniimo parameter error at login (restart Steam fix)

You try to log in to Aniimo from Steam and get a "parameter error" message (players quote it as "parameter error" and "Parameter error"), and the game won't let you in. One player in the same thread says it showed up on top of "Account login failed. Log in again."

In the Steam Discussions thread for the login failure, one player asked whether others also see "parameter error", and a later player replied that restarting Steam fixed their "Parameter error". A third player said the same restart worked for them. That is three players on one thread and no more: it is a reported fix, not a confirmed one. Pawprint Studio hasn't named this message in its launch FAQ, patch notes or replies, so nobody has said what causes it. A Steam restart working suggests a stale Steam session on your side rather than an outage, but that is a guess from the reports. If the full "Account login failed" screen is what you see, the login failed page covers it.
Fix it, step by step
Fully exit and restart Steam, then launch Aniimo again
Exit Steam completely (right-click the tray icon, then Exit), reopen it, and launch Aniimo. One player wrote that restarting Steam fixed their login problem, and two others replied that it fixed their "Parameter error" or worked for them too.
Log in once through the official launcher with your email (one report)
One player on the same thread fixed their login failure by downloading Aniimo's official launcher, logging in there with their email and the code sent to it, and then going back to Steam, which logged them in straight away. That player was reporting the "Account login failed" error, not "parameter error" by name, and nobody else has confirmed it.
Wait a few seconds on the server screen, then click Start Adventure
Several players with the related login failure report it's more likely when you click Start Adventure straight away. Waiting a few seconds before clicking is unconfirmed for "parameter error" itself.

Pawprint Studio's launch FAQ and patch notes don't mention "parameter error". This page will be updated if they do. If it keeps happening, send a report from the in-game Support option (F10) or to aniimo_support@aniimo.com with your server region and Steam ID.
