Aniimo lost progress or prompted to create a new account (fix)

Logging back into Aniimo shows no progress, or the game prompts you to create a new account/character as if you'd never played, even though you had an existing character.

Pawprint Studio's official "support" account posted a direct advisory about this during launch week, attributing it to "a data sync error that occurred during the recent website entity and domain migration, which affected some players' account bindings" — a server-side cause, not anything wrong with your install. Pawprint also flagged a separate, more common false alarm: simply having switched to a different server region than you originally played on can look exactly like lost progress. Check the region first before assuming your data is actually gone.
What to try
- 01First, check whether you're on the same server region you originally played on (e.g. "Aniimo-Europe") — switching regions is a documented cause of progress appearing lost when it isn't; switch back to your original region before doing anything else.Confirmed
- 02If you did not create a new character after the apparent loss, Pawprint says your account progress should already be restored automatically — no action needed.Confirmed
- 03If you did create a new character, Pawprint said it would email your registered address a survey to confirm which account (and any purchases) to keep, processing the request within 72 hours of submission — check your inbox and spam folder.Confirmed
