Old School RuneScape launcher "Please wait while an update is applied"
The Jagex Launcher stays on "Please wait while an update is applied." and never finishes.

Jagex's Launcher known-issues article says it is possible the Launcher is running twice on the same machine. Its fix is to close both Launchers from the system tray and then restart it so the update is applied again. The Launcher is Jagex's shared PC launcher, so this covers Old School RuneScape and RuneLite when started from it. Jagex gives no other cause for this message.
What to try
- 01Close every copy of the Jagex Launcher from the system tray, since it may be running twice on the same machine.Confirmed
