Dune: Awakening error Q73: character transfer fails (fix)

A character transfer fails and Dune: Awakening shows a "Q73" error instead of completing the move.

Q73 on a character transfer was a bug on Funcom's side. The 1.5.3.5 hotfix notes (2026-09-30) say: "Fixed an issue where character transfers could fail with the Q73 error if the character had a Solido Replicator received from another player in their inventory containing a blueprint with a custom name."
That is the only cause Funcom has documented. We found no player thread that quotes the Q73 dialog, so what you see on screen beyond the code is not verified here. If you still get Q73 on 1.5.3.5 or later, Funcom hasn't published any other cause.

Update Dune: Awakening to hotfix 1.5.3.5 or later
Update to hotfix 1.5.3.5 or later and retry the transfer. Funcom's 1.5.3.5 notes list the Q73 transfer failure as fixed. Restart your Steam client if the download does not appear on its own.

Q73 after 1.5.3.5: no other cause is documented
If Q73 still appears on 1.5.3.5 or later, Funcom's notes name no other cause and we found no other confirmed fix. The documented trigger was a Solido Replicator received from another player, holding a blueprint with a custom name, in the transferred character's inventory.
