Dune: Awakening Progression Loss and Other Bugs (Fixed in 1.5.3.3)

Lost progression, the wrong character shown after a failed server join, full HP with Power reset to 0 on entering an Overland map, a base piece left in the wrong position, or the "place your backed up base" journey step stuck after placing it — all around the September 2026 single-player update.
This is a cluster of bugs Funcom shipped hotfix 1.5.3.3 to fix on September 18, 2026, a few days after the version 1.5 single-player update went out. Funcom's own patch notes list every one of these directly under "FIXES," which is what makes this `confirmed` rather than inferred from player reports: "Fixed an issue that could lead to progression loss for some players," "Fixed an issue where failing to join a server would display the wrong character data in the Characters tab, which could lead to players deleting or joining the wrong character," "Fixed an issue where entering any Overland map, reconnecting or respawning fully restored HP and reset Power to 0," "Fixed an issue where the Base Reconstruction Tool could leave some pieces in the incorrect positions," and "Fixed an issue where the 'Place your backed up base' journey step sometimes failed to complete after placing the base." All five are fixed as of 1.5.3.3. If you're on that patch or later and still seeing any of these, that's new information worth reporting here — the same symptom recurring after the fix shipped is a different, unsolved problem, not this one. The patch notes also mention "Improved server and client stability" and that "Servers will be coming back up shortly" alongside the hotfix deployment — normal patch-day server cycling, not a separate outage.
What to try
