ARC Raiders exit code 0xdead: no known fix yet

ARC Raiders closes at launch or mid-session with "The game has crashed, and terminated with exitcode: 0xdead", sometimes after writing a crash dump file.

Exit code 0xdead means the game process closed itself on your PC. Embark hasn't said what it means and nobody has confirmed a fix, so whose side it is on is still unknown; we file it under your PC only because nothing points to a server outage.
Three Steam Discussions threads (October 4, 10 and 12) and one r/ArcRaiders post (October 13) show the same message. In one thread the poster had played fine on update day, then got the dump file and 0xdead after coming back. A reply in another thread says "its a hardware ban guys", with no source, so we are not treating it as true.

No confirmed fix yet
Nobody in the Steam threads reports a fix for 0xdead. In the October 4 thread, one player says they reinstalled everything and it didn't help. Another says they reinstalled Windows and the game, but that player quotes exit code 0x3, a different error that has its own 0x3 page.

A hardware ban was claimed (not verified)
One reply in the October 4 thread says "its a hardware ban guys". It gave no source and Embark hasn't said 0xdead relates to bans, so we can't call it true. Bans are covered on the system integrity violation page.

Contact Embark support with your crash details
Open a ticket through the Embark Help Center and include the exact message and, if the game wrote one, the crash dump file. One player in the October 4 thread asked whether to write to support; nobody replied with a result.
