ARC Raiders System Integrity Violation (ARAV codes): fix

ARC Raiders refuses to start or kicks you out with a "System Integrity Violation" and a code that begins ARAV, such as ARAV0021, ARAV8019, ARAV2004 or ARAV1024.

Also appears as: system integrity violation, arc raiders system integrity violation, arav error code, arc raiders arav, ARAV0021, ARAV8019, ARAV2004, ARAV1024, arc raiders auto clicker detected, arc raiders cheat engine error

A System Integrity Violation is Embark's umbrella for its ARAV codes. Embark says it means your computer "isn't meeting one or more of the security requirements needed to run the game, or a disallowed process has been detected." It is a problem on your PC, not the servers.

A code is ARAV, a number from 0 to 11, then a three-digit group suffix. The last note below lists Embark's groups, but its lists overlap (for example ARAV9004 and ARAV9008 each appear under two groups), so one code can't always be pinned to one cause.

Fix it, step by step

  1. Turn on Core Isolation, Memory Integrity and Secure Boot, and update Windows

Open Windows Security, then Device Security. Check that Core Isolation, Memory Integrity and Secure Boot (if available) are enabled, and that Windows is fully updated. This is step 1 of Embark's three official steps.

  2. Close macro, overclocking, injector and overlay tools, or clean boot

Close third-party tools that modify gameplay or hardware, such as macro tools, overclocking software, injectors or custom overlays. Embark also says to disable non-essential items on Task Manager's Startup tab, and to try a clean boot if you're unsure what is interfering.

  3. Add ARC Raiders and Easy Anti-Cheat to your antivirus exceptions

Embark says some antivirus programs can mistakenly flag game files, so add ARC Raiders and Easy Anti-Cheat to your antivirus exceptions list.

  4. Note

Match the last digits of your code to a group (014 and 018 replace 004 and 008 for ARAV10 and ARAV11). Descriptions are Embark's.

Virtual machine, 004 or 014: the game was launched through a virtual machine, which Embark says is explicitly prohibited.

NVIDIA Profile Inspector, 008 or 018: it is active, and Embark says to disable it.

Auto clicker, 021: Embark detects an active auto clicker "regardless of the process or another program it's linked to" and says to disable it.

Auto Hotkey, 020: the same wording, for an active Auto Hotkey.

Scripting, 026: Embark says to disable any scripts that are active.

Disabled security setting, 024 or 027: a required security setting is off. Embark says it can't give more detail for security reasons.

Cheat Engine, 019: Embark says to disable it immediately, and that continuous attempts to load the game with it active "will result in permanent suspension".

Restricted machine, 017: Embark says to use another PC to play.

Misconfigured system, 015: Embark says your system is configured incorrectly and it can't give more feedback.

Communication with the game, 008, 010, 012 or 013: Embark says to restart the game, and if that fails to reinstall it, restart your PC and verify game files in Steam, then contact it.

Forbidden tool, 009 or 011: a forbidden tool is running. See the disallowed tool page.

Installation integrity, 005, 006 or 007: Embark couldn't verify your installation. See the ARAV8007 page.

System integrity, 001 to 004: Embark couldn't confirm the integrity of your system.

  5. Note

Embark says that for security it cannot give individual details about what caused the error on a specific account. If the three steps don't help, its article points to the Easy Anti-Cheat support page and Embark Support.
