ARC Raiders closes with "The game has crashed, and terminated with exitcode: 0x3: the system cannot find the path specified".
Also appears as: exit code 0x3, exitcode: 0x3, the game has crashed, and terminated with exitcode: 0x3, the system cannot find the path specified, arc raiders exitcode 0x3, arc raiders cerebro.dll, arc raiders crashes exit code
Exit code 0x3 is a crash on your PC. Embark's own crash troubleshooting article says: "This error is usually caused by a damaged Cerebro.dll file. Deleting it and verifying your game files will replace it with a fresh copy."
A Steam Discussions thread from October 4 shows the message after a player reinstalled Windows and the game, and two other players replied with similar problems. None of them said whether Embark's fix worked.
Fix it, step by step
Delete Cerebro.dll from the Win64 folder
Open
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ArcRaiders\PioneerGame\Binaries\Win64(the path may vary depending on where Steam is installed), selectCerebro.dlland press Delete. This is Embark's own fix for exit code 0x3.Verify integrity of game files in Steam
In Steam, go to your Library, right-click ARC Raiders, select Properties, open the Installed Files tab and select "Verify integrity of game files". Embark says this replaces the deleted file with a fresh copy.
- NoteUnconfirmed
The Embark article lists no further steps for 0x3, and the players in the October 4 Steam thread didn't report whether these two worked. For exit code 0 or 0x1, see the exit code 0x1 page.
