ARC Raiders error 30005: CreateService failed with 32 (fix)

Close Steam and ARC Raiders, restart your PC, then delete EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys from C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS and relaunch so the game reinstalls a fresh copy. The poster of a Steam thread on this error wrote it up and another player replied that it worked; two other threads report the same fix. If Windows won't let you delete the file, those posters booted into Safe Mode (msconfig, Boot tab, Safe Boot), deleted it there and restarted normally. Some players in the thread still couldn't delete it.

If you also see a "too many instances" message, the same poster suggested the Steam launch options -eac_launcher_delay 5000 -nomultipleinstances after a full restart. The player it was aimed at hadn't had success with the first fix, and nobody has reported whether the launch options worked.

Verify your game files through Steam's Properties menu, and consider adding ARC Raiders and Easy Anti-Cheat to your antivirus exceptions. One player suspected the firewall or antivirus, but the fix they posted was the file deletion above, so this one is unverified.

One player (writing in Russian) reported that after other fixes failed, opening services.msc, setting the EasyAntiCheat service's startup type from Manual to Automatic, then restarting the PC and launching the game worked. It is a single report.

One player whose 30005 kept returning after every restart says uninstalling and reinstalling the game fixed it, and another reported reinstalling worked after EAC stopped working. Others say reinstalling didn't help, so treat it as a last resort.
