RuneScape 3 "Access Blocked" with a Ray ID: what to check
The website, the mobile app or the Jagex Launcher shows an "Access Blocked" message with a Ray ID and won't let you through.

Jagex says its website, mobile apps and the Jagex Launcher all use security services, and that this message means it judged your connection risky. It states plainly that your account has not been blocked or locked; it is the connection that hasn't been allowed. The first thing its support article tells you to try is turning off any VPN, saying VPNs often interfere with access to its games, websites and Launcher. It then lists a browser check, your device time zone and software updates. The article covers both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape.
What to try
- 01Turn off your VPN before launching the game or opening Jagex's website. Jagex says it does not support or endorse VPNs and that they are the most likely cause when you see this message while using one.Confirmed
