Monsters & Memories stuck on loading screen when zoning (fix)

You cross a zone line (often into or out of Night Harbor East/West or the Underdocks) and the loading screen never finishes, so you can't get into the next zone.
Also appears as: monsters and memories stuck on loading screen, monsters and memories loading screen, stuck loading screen zoning, infinite loading screen monsters and memories, stuck zoning night harbor, underdocks loading screen
A game-side bug, not your PC. Niche Worlds Cult's own patch notes for 0.30.2.4 (October 4, 2026) list a "Fix for zoning (especially in Night Harbor East/West and Underdocks) getting you stuck in loading screen".
The same patch fixed a possible client memory leak. The studio hasn't said whether the fix covers every zone, and no Known Issues entry tracks it, so a loading screen that still hangs on 0.30.2.4 or later is worth reporting.
Separately, GMs have restarted individual zones when they became unstable, and on October 2 the team posted that players couldn't enter the Tilustra server. Check the live numbers on the status page (/monsters-and-memories/) before assuming it's your install.
No problems reported in the last 15 minutes.

Make sure the launcher has updated you to 0.30.2.4 or later
Close the game and let the launcher patch you to 0.30.2.4 or later. That patch, dated October 4, 2026, is the one with the official fix for zoning getting you stuck in a loading screen.

Check the server-status channel and live server numbers
If it still hangs, check the official Discord's #server-status channel and the server numbers on this site's status page. GMs post there when specific zones or a whole server (Tilustra on October 2) are having trouble, and those zones are restarted on their side.
- 03Unconfirmed
No confirmed fix yet if it happens on 0.30.2.4 or later
No confirmed fix yet for a loading screen that still hangs after the 0.30.2.4 patch. Report it to Niche Worlds Cult with the zone you were entering; this page will be updated.
