Gray Zone Warfare network error 0x00030004: disconnected on load

After "Synchronising live data" and the loading bar, the game shows "Network Error Occurred (0x00030004)" and drops you back before you load into the server, in PvE and PvEvP and across regions.
Also appears as: network error occurred 0x00030004, 0x00030004, 0X00030004, 30004, gray zone warfare disconnected from the server, gray zone warfare network error, grey zone warfare 0x00030004, gray zone warfare stuck at 72
The server you're joining fails before you get in. Reports cluster by region and time rather than by PC: in May 2025, Oceania players couldn't load into any server for hours, and a player said in the thread that MADFINGER's developers had acknowledged it on Discord and were working on a hotfix. Players there said a later patch fixed the crash that stalled Oceania loads at 72%.
It points at a server problem rather than your PC. We haven't found an official statement on it, and no local fix worked for reporters.
No problems reported in the last 15 minutes.

Check whether players in your region have it too
Look at the player reports on this site's status page and @GrayZoneWarfare on X. If your region is affected, it's the servers, and the fix comes from MADFINGER.

Deploy to a different nearby region
You choose the region before deploying. A player in the 2025 thread noted that the only option during the Oceania outage was another region's servers, at the cost of higher ping.

If only you get it, run MADFINGER's connection checklist
MADFINGER's "Cannot connect to the game servers" help article covers local causes of network errors: allow the game and Easy Anti-Cheat through Windows Firewall and your antivirus, turn off IPv6, and set a public DNS server. It isn't specific to 0x00030004.
