Gray Zone Warfare network error 0x0003000F: stuck loading (fix)

The loading screen stalls early (12% in the first report), then "Network Error Occurred (0x0003000F)" appears and you're back at the menu. It repeats on every server, mode and region you try, often on your first launch.
Also appears as: network error occurred 0x0003000f, 0x0003000f, 0X0003000F, gray zone warfare stuck at 12%, gray zone warfare stuck loading network error, grey zone warfare 0x0003000f, gray zone warfare cannot connect to the game servers
The game reaches MADFINGER's servers but the connection fails while loading in. When only you get it, the cause is usually local: firewall, antivirus, IPv6 or DNS, which MADFINGER's "Cannot connect to the game servers" article covers.
It also shows up in outage waves. The Steam thread that started with it in February 2026 grew to almost 500 replies during the April 2026 server problems, so check whether others have it right now before changing settings.
Fix it, step by step
- NoteReported
Look at the player reports on this site's status page and @GrayZoneWarfare on X. During an outage the steps below won't help.
Allow the game and Easy Anti-Cheat through Windows Firewall
In Windows Firewall > Advanced settings > Inbound Rules, add a Program rule allowing the connection on Domain, Private and Public for each of:
GZW\Binaries\Win64\GZWClientSteam-Win64-Shipping,GZWClientEAC(both in the Gray Zone Warfare install folder) andC:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS\EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe. This is from MADFINGER's help centre.Add the same three files as antivirus exceptions
If you use third-party antivirus, add the same three files as exceptions, per MADFINGER's help centre.
Turn off IPv6 on your network adapter and restart
Control Panel > Network and Sharing Centre > Change adapter settings > your adapter > Properties, untick Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), then restart. Players in the April 2026 thread reported this got them in. If your internet stops working, tick it again.
Set a public DNS server on your adapter
In the same adapter's Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) properties, choose "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter one of the options MADFINGER lists, such as Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1).
Sorted. Glad that worked.
