Steam news — Hotfix - Day One Patch 0.1.1 ↗

After you press deploy, the game shows "verifying your profile" and then, about a minute later, drops you back on the deploy menu, where it starts again.

Also appears as: glory to the heroes verifying your profile, glory to the heroes verifying player profile, glory to the heroes can't deploy, verifying your profile loop deploy menu, glory to the heroes stuck on deploy

Deaf Tone Games' Hotfix - Day One Patch 0.1.1 (October 10, 2026) lists "Fixed Training getting stuck on 'verifying player profile' when deploying custom kits." That is the only version of this loop the studio has addressed.

Two Steam Discussions reports, both from October 9 and so before 0.1.1, describe the loop at the deploy menu. One of them says deploy only works in PvE for that player. Nobody has said whether 0.1.1 or 0.1.2 cleared it.

What to try

  1. 01

Update the game to the latest patch

Let Steam install the latest patch. The fix for Training getting stuck on "verifying player profile" with custom kits shipped in Patch 0.1.1, and Patch 0.1.2 followed on October 11. The notes cover Training with custom kits only, not the online deploy menu.

    Confirmed
  2. 02

Verify game files if the update did not install (unconfirmed)

If Steam did not pull the update, right-click the game, then Properties, Installed Files, Verify integrity of game files. This is Steam's standard way to force an update; the patch notes do not mention it for this loop.

  3. 03

Try deploying into PvE instead of PvP (one report)

One player replying in the Can't deploy thread said deploying only works for them in PvE. That is one account, not confirmed by the studio, and it predates Patch 0.1.1.

No confirmed fix for the online deploy loop yet

No confirmed fix yet for the loop at the online deploy menu; this page will be updated.
