The main menu never loads. Instead a dialog reading simply "Fatal error" appears; clicking OK closes the game.

Multiple playtest participants have hit this exact dialog across separate Glory To The Heroes tests, going back to a March 2026 closed test and recurring into the September 2026 Server Slam. One affected player found and posted a fix that resolved it for them: running the Unreal Engine prerequisites installer bundled with the game and deleting a leftover local save folder. It's an install-corruption or missing-dependency issue on the player's machine, not a server problem — the same dialog text has also been reported by players describing an inability to connect during loading, which may be the same underlying failure surfacing differently.
