Gears of War: E-Day drone-snub error: open UDP 3074 (fix)

The game shows the error code "drone-snub" when it tries to connect online.

drone-snub is a network error that The Coalition tied to blocked ports. In the August 2026 open-beta known issues it said it had mitigated the error and moved the game's port requirement from UDP 443 to UDP 3074.
That list is beta-era, and we found no launch-era report of drone-snub in Steam Discussions, so we can't say how often it appears now. If it does, The Coalition's advice is to make sure the required ports are open on your network.

No launch-era report found
This fix comes from the August 2026 open-beta known issues. We found no Steam report of drone-snub after launch, so there is no confirmation that the port change resolves it for every player.
