Dune: Awakening error Q62: Login Failed, Network (fix)

Logging in to Dune: Awakening fails with error "Q62" ("Login Failed Due to Network Issues").

Also appears as: dune awakening error Q62, Q62, Login Failed Due to Network Issues, dune awakening login failed network issues, dune awakening cFosSpeed, dune awakening can't log in network

Q62 is Funcom's "Login Failed Due to Network Issues" error. Funcom's pinned Steam thread on connection error codes says it indicates "a failure to log in, often caused by network-related conflicts on your system." That makes it a local network problem rather than a Funcom outage.

Funcom's first advice is to disable or uninstall packet-shaping software such as cFosSpeed, which may come pre-installed on some motherboards. It also says to update your network drivers. If that fails, it asks you to contact support with your logs.

Fix it, step by step

  1. Disable or uninstall packet-shaping software such as cFosSpeed

Disable or uninstall any packet-shaping software (for example cFosSpeed), which may come pre-installed on certain motherboards. This is the first fix Funcom lists for Q62.

  2. Update your network drivers

Make sure your network drivers are up to date. Funcom says you can update them through Windows Device Manager or download the latest ones from your motherboard manufacturer's support page.

  3. Note

If Q62 continues, contact Funcom support through its Helpshift page and include your logs, found in C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\DuneSandbox\Saved\Logs. The log folder path is the one Funcom gives for P64 in the same thread.
