Dune: Awakening error R62: stuck in logoff grace
You get kicked from the server, then can't log back in — the game shows a "R62" error saying your character is still in a "log off grace period" and to wait, sometimes for hours.
Also appears as: dune awakening error r62, error code r62, r62 log off grace period, character stuck logging out dune awakening, cant log back in dune awakening
R62 shows up when the server hasn't finished registering your character as logged out after a disconnect — often after being kicked mid-activity — and then refuses a new login until that grace-period state clears. A Steam Discussions thread on this exact error drew 59 comments, with multiple players confirming the identical symptom and reporting it lasting anywhere from a few hours to much longer with no consistent fix; the workarounds below have worked for some players but not reliably.

- 01Reported
Join a different world as a guest, then return to your home world
Try joining a different sub-server/world as a guest, then use the "Return to your home world" option from the Escape menu — several players report this clears the stuck state faster than waiting it out.
- 02Unconfirmed
Wait it out; the grace period eventually clears on its own
If that doesn't work, waiting it out is the only other reported route — players describe the grace period eventually clearing on its own, with no consistent timeframe.

Submit a Helpshift ticket if it's been several hours
If it's been several hours with no change, submit a support ticket via Helpshift with your character name and approximate time you were kicked.
