Arkheron "too many request failures" error (fix)

The dialog "There have been too many request failures. Try restarting your client." appears while launching or moving from the loading screen to the main menu, then the game closes — often after the game had been working normally moments before.

A Bonfire Studios developer (Steam-tagged as staff, posting as "deolis") responded directly to this report, first saying it "should be resolved if you run game again," then — after players kept hitting it — posting "we thought we had this one resolved but we are finding more issues, still digging into what is causing it." That's an official acknowledgment this is a real, unresolved bug on Bonfire's side, most consistent with a request/rate-limit issue on the backend rather than anything wrong with your PC. Some players needed several restarts before it cleared; others reported it working the first retry.
