Arkheron hasn't launched yet

No confirmed launch date yet. There's no live-service history to check, and no reports are possible until real players are in the game. This page will start showing live reports, a 24-hour chart, and an incident history automatically once it does — no rebuild needed.

About Arkheron's servers

Arkheron is an unreleased team PvP game from Bonfire Studios — a Los Angeles-area studio founded in 2021 by former Blizzard developers who worked on the Diablo series — in which teams of three loot “Relics” that change their build mid-fight while climbing a Tower in two modes: 3v3 Endless Spires and the 45-player Ascension. It’s listed on Steam (app 3333850) as “Coming Soon” with no release date yet; Bonfire has said only that it plans to launch before the end of 2026. What exists today is a run of pre-launch tests: a Closed Beta for Xbox Insiders in July 2026, ongoing PC weekend playtests, and a Crossplay Beta scheduled for September 25–27, 2026, bringing Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 players in alongside PC for the first time with full cross-play, per Bonfire’s own Steam announcement.

There’s no dedicated Arkheron status page. Bonfire posts patch notes, hotfixes, and test schedules to the Steam news feed and arkheron.com’s news section, and uses the @PlayArkheron account on X and the official Discord (discord.gg/Arkheron) for anything more time-sensitive, like a schedule change or an active bug. Bonfire staff also monitor Steam Discussions directly and reply to individual bug reports there — several confirmed fixes on this site’s error pages, including a clock-sync crash Bonfire says is now resolved in the latest build, trace back to those threads. Test weekends have run out of North America and Europe servers, with South America added for the September 2026 Crossplay Beta; queue windows and region availability change from one test to the next rather than following a fixed, published schedule, since the game hasn’t reached a permanent launch configuration yet.

Maintenance, queues, and real outages

Three different things get reported as "Arkheron is down," and only one of them is an outage. The chart above is the fastest way to tell them apart, once there's data on it:

A real outage

Reports spike hard within an hour, then decay as the problem is fixed. Nobody announced it in advance.

Scheduled maintenance

Reports climb steadily and stay flat for the length of the window, because everyone hits the same wall at the same time and keeps hitting it.

A login queue

Matchmaking/login reports climb while server-connection reports stay low, and a Steam player count (if shown above) holds flat instead of dropping. The servers are up and full, not down — waiting is the only fix.

Announced maintenance would show up at the studio's own status channel or the official Discord before it shows up here.

If it's only broken for you

Most "is it down" moments aren't outages. Work down this list before assuming the servers are the problem — it's ordered by how often each one turns out to be the answer, not by how easy it is.

  1. 01

Check the report count above first

It costs nothing and it settles the question. A flat report count means other players are getting in fine, and everything below is worth your time. A spike means it isn't you, and none of it is.

  2. 02

    Verify the game files

In Steam: right-click Arkheron → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. A partial patch is the single most common cause of a game that launches and then fails to connect.

  3. 03

Restart the whole chain, in order

Game, then your launcher/Steam, then your router. People almost always do the first and skip the third — a stale router NAT table produces exactly the symptom people report as "servers down."

  4. 04

Rule out a VPN or restrictive network

A VPN fails matchmaking far more often than it fixes it, and so does a corporate or campus network that blocks the UDP ports a game server needs. If you're on a network you don't administer, that's the likely answer.

  5. 05

If it crashes rather than fails to connect, treat it as a crash

A game that starts and then dies, rather than never connecting, is usually a local fault — most often graphics drivers or overlay software, not the servers.

Arkheron server status: common questions

Is Arkheron down right now?

Arkheron isn't playable yet, so there's no service to be down. This page starts counting reports the moment the servers come up — no rebuild needed.

Is there an official Arkheron status page?

No dedicated live status or uptime page has been found. Bonfire Studios runs Arkheron's outage and maintenance communication through three channels instead: the Steam news hub for app 3333850, the @PlayArkheron account on X, and the announcements channel in the official Discord (discord.gg/Arkheron). Bonfire staff also reply directly to bug reports in Steam Discussions — several of the error pages on this site are sourced from a Bonfire developer troubleshooting a specific report there. That gap in a formal status page is exactly why a tracker like this one exists for the game.

Where does Bonfire Studios announce Arkheron server maintenance or outages?

The same three channels as above: Steam's news feed for the game, @PlayArkheron on X, and the official Discord. Patch notes are posted both on Steam and on arkheron.com's own news section, and they regularly include a bug-fix list — the 0.23.0 hotfix on September 21, 2026, for example, fixed a chat-disappearing bug and a Spires arena-wall exploit alongside balance changes. If something breaks mid-session and none of those channels mention it yet, it's more likely a fresh issue worth reporting than a known outage.

What server regions does Arkheron support, and can I pick mine?

Bonfire has run weekend playtests and betas out of North America and Europe, and added South America for the September 2026 Crossplay Beta, per Bonfire's own "This Week in Arkheron: Crossplay Beta Edition" Steam post, which lists separate local start times for Europe, South America, and North America. Ascension queues open on a nightly window per region during test weekends rather than running as one global queue; Bonfire hasn't published a permanent, launch-day region list yet since the game hasn't fully released.

Does Arkheron have login or matchmaking queues, and how long are they?

During test weekends, Endless Spires (3v3) runs for the full 24 hours of the test, while Ascension (up to 45 players) only opens for windows of at least three hours per region each night — so a "why can't I queue" moment is often just being outside that window rather than a problem. Reported queue lengths vary: some players in Steam Discussions describe long waits when queueing as a two-person party rather than a full team, though Bonfire hasn't published official queue-time figures.

Does Arkheron support cross-play between PC, Xbox, and PlayStation?

Yes, as of the Crossplay Beta scheduled for September 25–27, 2026 — the game's first time on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 alongside PC. Bonfire's own Steam announcement describes full crossplay across all three platforms for that test weekend. Arkheron isn't fully launched yet, so whether crossplay is on by default at full release, and whether it can be toggled off, hasn't been confirmed.

When does the Arkheron Crossplay Beta run, and does progress carry over afterward?

The Crossplay Beta runs September 25–27, 2026 (ending 11:59pm PDT Sunday), open to North America, South America, and Europe with exclusive login rewards — a skin, banner, and other items, per Bonfire's Steam post. Bonfire hasn't confirmed whether this specific weekend's progress carries forward. For context, the July 2026 Closed Beta did reset player accounts once Bonfire moved from a test to a production environment, while keeping a separate "Prestige track" (a title, banner, and skin) as permanent rewards regardless of the reset — so a full wipe when a test ends has precedent for this game.

Has Arkheron fully launched, or is this still a beta?

Still unreleased. Steam lists Arkheron as "Coming Soon" with no storefront release date, and Bonfire Studios has said publicly it plans to launch before the end of 2026 but hasn't set or confirmed a specific date. Everything playable right now — the July 2026 Xbox Insiders closed beta, the ongoing PC playtests, and the September 2026 Crossplay Beta — is pre-launch testing, not the live game, so treat "server issues" reports as beta-test bugs rather than launch-day outages.

Auto-logged from player reports over the last 30 days. An incident is a run of hours with at least six different players reporting in each, the same signal the verdict above responds to — so one frustrated player pressing a button repeatedly can never put an incident on this list.
