ACE COMBAT 8 error WP-202002004: account restricted online
ACE COMBAT ONLINE shows "Restrictions on this account prohibit you from using online services" with error code WP-202002004, often after a disconnect to the title screen.

Players see this message with WP-202002004 when they try to use ACE COMBAT ONLINE. The wording sounds like a ban, but the players who posted say they used no mods or cheating tools, and Bandai Namco hasn't explained the code that we could find.
Three separate Steam threads report it (October 6, 7 and 9). One says retrying the Online option several times usually gets back in, and another says restarting the PC only sometimes restores access. Nobody has confirmed a fix, and it is not known whether this is a real restriction or a server-side check failing.
No problems reported in the last 15 minutes.

One player says selecting the Online option repeatedly usually gets them back in after several attempts. Another says restarting the PC sometimes restores access, but not consistently. Neither is a lasting fix, and no one else confirmed them.

Since the message is worded as an account restriction, check that your Steam account has no VAC, game or community ban listed. No thread shows this is the cause: the players who posted say they did nothing wrong.

If the message does not clear, ask Bandai Namco support whether the account is actually restricted and whether it can be reviewed. One Steam thread asks exactly this and got no official answer, so we don't know what support will say. Include the code WP-202002004 and when it happened.
