ACE COMBAT 8 error ST-4000906: can't enter ACE COMBAT ONLINE
Error ST-4000906 appears when you try to enter ACE COMBAT ONLINE after launching the game, and online play works only sometimes or not at all.
Also appears as: ST-4000906, ST4000906, st 4000906, can't enter ace combat online, ace combat online not working, ace combat 8 online error
Two Steam threads report ST-4000906 when entering ACE COMBAT ONLINE. One player saw it right after launching on September 29 and another player said "same issue". Another reported on October 2 that online "sometimes works, sometimes doesn't" and later not at all.
A reply in that thread said the servers seemed overloaded and affected "pretty much everyone". That is one player's read, not a Bandai Namco statement; nothing official on this code was seen.
No problems reported in the last 15 minutes.

No confirmed fix yet
No confirmed fix yet; this page will be updated. Bandai Namco has not posted about this code in anything we saw, and the one reply in the thread suggested waiting for an official update.

Sync your Windows clock, as for ST-3100001 (unconfirmed here)
Bandai Namco's official fix for the related ST-3100001 is a clock sync. Nobody reported it fixing ST-4000906, so this is a low-cost check rather than a known fix. See the ST-3100001 page (/ace-combat-8/errors/st-3100001/).
