World of Slime Steam Discussions — "THE FIX FOR Server Under Maintenance message" ↗

The game either shows a "Server Under Maintenance" message on launch, or boots you mid-session with a repeating "cannot connect to server" error that returns you to the home screen.

Three separate Steam Discussions reports during the World of Slime PC demo describe the same failure — a "Server Under Maintenance" message, or a mid-session "cannot connect to server" error that boots you to the home screen. No official TEAM42 post documents a maintenance schedule, but all three point to the connection/server side, not a broken local install.

One player was booted mid-session with the repeating error. A second couldn't get in even after reinstalling, until a reply confirmed the servers "were having 30 minutes maintenance." A third ruled out several local fixes and still hit a persistent "Server Under Maintenance" message.

Whether that third case reflects a regional restriction or a one-off routing issue isn't confirmed.

    Check the Steam news hub for World of Slime (app 4671450), the @worldofslime_en account on X, and the official Discord (discord.gg/hjTZ2Yyjfh) for an active maintenance window before trying anything else — one player's identical error was confirmed by another as an active 30-minute maintenance period.

    Common local fixes did not work for one player who tried them

    If nothing official is posted and the message persists, the local fixes reported as NOT working for one player were: verifying game files, a full uninstall/reinstall, partial file deletion, restarting the PC, and disabling Windows Defender — so don't expect those alone to fix a genuine server-side block.
