World of Slime hasn't launched yet

No confirmed launch date yet. There's no live-service history to check, and no reports are possible until real players are in the game. This page will start showing live reports, a 24-hour chart, and an incident history automatically once it does — no rebuild needed.

About World of Slime's servers

World of Slime is an unreleased casual taming MMORPG from the Korean studio TEAM42 (credited on Steam news posts under the legal name Kniv Studio Co., Ltd.), in which players capture, tame, and fuse “slimes” while exploring a world alongside friends. It’s listed free-to-play on Steam under app 4671450, currently marked “Coming Soon,” with a release window Steam gives as “Q4 2026” and the game’s own site, worldofsli.me, narrows further to “Global Launch December 2026” for both PC and mobile — neither source has confirmed an exact date. A free PC demo (a separate Steam app, 4793900) has been playable since August 26, 2026, per TEAM42’s own Steam announcement.

There’s no dedicated World of Slime status page. TEAM42 posts patch notes and demo updates to the Steam news feed, and uses the @worldofslime_en account on X and the official Discord (discord.gg/hjTZ2Yyjfh, linked from both worldofsli.me and the Steam store page) for anything more urgent. That hasn’t always kept pace with players: a September 2026 Steam post acknowledged a demo-period bug that let some accounts reach an out-of-bounds area, and separately, Steam Discussions threads have reported connection failures and a “Server Under Maintenance” message during the demo, in one case corroborated by a player citing an active 30-minute maintenance window before any official post confirmed it. TEAM42 has said a next demo area, Noecheon Village, is scheduled to open in early October 2026 alongside further bug fixes.

Maintenance, queues, and real outages

Three different things get reported as "World of Slime is down," and only one of them is an outage. The chart above is the fastest way to tell them apart, once there's data on it:

A real outage

Reports spike hard within an hour, then decay as the problem is fixed. Nobody announced it in advance.

Scheduled maintenance

Reports climb steadily and stay flat for the length of the window, because everyone hits the same wall at the same time and keeps hitting it.

A login queue

Matchmaking/login reports climb while server-connection reports stay low, and a Steam player count (if shown above) holds flat instead of dropping. The servers are up and full, not down — waiting is the only fix.

Announced maintenance would show up at the studio's own status channel or the official Discord before it shows up here.

If it's only broken for you

Most "is it down" moments aren't outages. Work down this list before assuming the servers are the problem — it's ordered by how often each one turns out to be the answer, not by how easy it is.

  1. 01

Check the report count above first

It costs nothing and it settles the question. A flat report count means other players are getting in fine, and everything below is worth your time. A spike means it isn't you, and none of it is.

  2. 02

    Verify the game files

In Steam: right-click World of Slime → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. A partial patch is the single most common cause of a game that launches and then fails to connect.

  3. 03

Restart the whole chain, in order

Game, then your launcher/Steam, then your router. People almost always do the first and skip the third — a stale router NAT table produces exactly the symptom people report as "servers down."

  4. 04

Rule out a VPN or restrictive network

A VPN fails matchmaking far more often than it fixes it, and so does a corporate or campus network that blocks the UDP ports a game server needs. If you're on a network you don't administer, that's the likely answer.

  5. 05

If it crashes rather than fails to connect, treat it as a crash

A game that starts and then dies, rather than never connecting, is usually a local fault — most often graphics drivers or overlay software, not the servers.

World of Slime server status: common questions

Is World of Slime down right now?

World of Slime isn't playable yet, so there's no service to be down. This page starts counting reports the moment the servers come up — no rebuild needed.

Is there an official World of Slime status page?

No dedicated status or uptime page has been found. TEAM42 (credited on Steam news posts under the legal name Kniv Studio Co., Ltd.) posts patch notes and demo updates to the Steam news hub for app 4671450, and uses the @worldofslime_en account on X and the official Discord (discord.gg/hjTZ2Yyjfh) — both linked from the game's own site, worldofsli.me, and from its Steam store page — for anything more time-sensitive. That gap is exactly why a tracker like this one exists for the game.

Where does TEAM42 announce World of Slime maintenance or outages?

The same three channels: the Steam news feed, @worldofslime_en on X, and the official Discord. In practice, during the current PC demo, players in Steam Discussions have reported connection problems and identified them as maintenance before any official post confirmed it — one reply to a "having trouble connecting" thread stated the servers had "30 minutes maintenance" without citing an official source. Community reports are currently outrunning official confirmation, which is worth knowing if you hit a connection error with nothing posted yet.

Does World of Slime have published server regions?

No official region list has been published. Several Steam Discussions reports from the demo period describe login or connection failures that appeared tied to location: one player asked in Spanish whether login was possible "en SA" (in South America) after being unable to get in, and a separate thread's top reply said a VPN was the only thing that fixed a persistent "Server Under Maintenance" message for them. Neither TEAM42 nor Kniv Studio Co., Ltd. has confirmed a region-lock system, so treat this as demo-era friction rather than a confirmed permanent design.

Is World of Slime cross-platform?

Yes, between PC and mobile. World of Slime's official site (worldofsli.me) describes it in its own page metadata as launching "Global Launch December 2026 · PC / Mobile," and the current Steam listing (Windows and Mac) covers the PC side of that. No PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch version has been announced anywhere.

Is the version available right now the full game or a demo?

A demo. TEAM42's own Steam announcement, "The World of Slime demo launches on August 26!", confirms the PC demo (a separate Steam app, 4793900) went live on 2026-08-26. The full game listed under app 4671450 is still marked "Coming Soon" on Steam, so anything you encounter right now — bugs, connection errors, account resets — is demo-period testing, not the live launch.

An example: a demo-era launch bug several players hit →

When does World of Slime fully launch?

No exact date yet. Steam's storefront currently lists the release window as "Q4 2026," and World of Slime's own site gives the more specific "Global Launch December 2026" in its page metadata — but neither TEAM42 nor Kniv Studio Co., Ltd. has confirmed a specific calendar date for that launch.

Is World of Slime free to play?

Yes — Steam categorizes World of Slime under "Free To Play" alongside Adventure, Massively Multiplayer, and RPG, and the base game (app 4671450) carries no purchase price. The playable PC demo (app 4793900, confirmed via Steam's own appdetails as a "demo"-type listing pointing back to the full game) is likewise free.
