World of Slime "Login Failed" error — is it a demo outage? (fix)

The game stops on the landing screen with a "Login Failed" message, sometimes right after getting past an earlier starting-screen freeze.

Multiple players in a single Steam Discussions thread for the World of Slime PC demo independently hit the same "Login Failed" dialog within hours of each other ("me too," reported twice by separate players), and one of them tied it directly to a server-side cause: "i cant get into the game... says server maintenance." A related thread that same week saw a player asking (in Spanish) whether login was even possible from South America after repeated failures, and a separate report of persistent connection failures was confirmed by another player as coinciding with an active "30 minutes maintenance" window. No official TEAM42 post has named "Login Failed" specifically, but the pattern across independent reports points at the server side rather than your own install.
