RuneScape: Dragonwilds invite code missing or not showing

The world menu shows no invite code, so friends (especially on another platform) can't join you — usually after a crash or a disconnect.

Invite codes are how crossplay friends join a hosted world, so losing one is a big deal. This is player-reported only: Jagex hasn't listed it as a known issue. In a Steam Discussions thread from September 21-22, 2026, a PC host playing with a PS5 friend said no invite code appeared after a crash, however they set the world up. Their follow-up: "You have to back out completely and restart Runescape in order to get an Invite Code," because the crash seemed to stop the game issuing a new one. That's one player's fix, not a documented cause. The same thread had other players reporting a simultaneous kick from their worlds that night, so an outage on the online services side is possible too — if other players report being kicked at the same moment, wait it out before restarting anything.
What to try
- 01Fully close Dragonwilds and relaunch it, then reopen the world. The original poster in the Steam thread got a new code this way after a crash left the world menu without one.Reported
