Deadlock "Not all party members" matchmaker error

Queueing as a party shows "Matchmaker error: not all party members could be found online or available for matchmaking", even though everyone is online and each player can queue alone.
Also appears as: not all party members could be found online or available for matchmaking, unable to start party matchmaker error, not all party members are available online or currently party member in another match, matchmaker error deadlock, deadlock party can't queue together, deadlock can't start match in group, deadlock duo queue not working
This looks like a matchmaking-side problem, not something on your PC. On 13 October 2026 two Steam Discussions threads (one with 139 comments) and two Reddit threads described the same dialog at the same time: parties of two or three couldn't queue, while each member could queue solo. The Steam thread's poster edited it about 45 minutes later to say "lookup working".
Nobody gave a method that fixed it, and Valve hasn't replied in any of the threads. If it's happening now, check the live status page before changing anything.
What to try
- 01Reported
Check the live Deadlock status page first
Open the live Deadlock status page. Every report we found came from the same day and affected several players at once, which points at Valve's matchmaking rather than your setup.
- 02Unconfirmed
Disband and remake the party, then queue again (one report)
Have everyone leave, then re-invite so the party is created fresh. One Reddit commenter said "it works now for me & duo- remake party and go play some games" and another replied "same here". Steam reporters who tried relaunching, reassembling the party and changing the leader said it didn't help while the problem was live, so this may just have coincided with the issue clearing.
- 03Reported
Queue solo and regroup later
Reporters said each member could still queue alone while the party queue failed. If you only need a match, play solo and try the party again later.

No confirmed fix yet
Valve hasn't commented. Two Steam posters wrote that it was fixed ("lookup working", "I fixed it") without saying how. If it persists after the live status page looks healthy, see Failed To Create Party for a local-connection cause, or Cannot Enter Matchmaking if only one account is affected, then post in the Bug Reports section of forums.playdeadlock.com.
