The game crashes to desktop while sailing into or around Tortuga, often tied to ships spawning near the port.

Kraken Express's own patch notes for version 0.10.0.2.54-451ec92d (shipped April 17, 2026, three days after Early Access launch) list "Fixed a crash caused by ship spawns in Tortuga" as one of that hotfix's Other Fixes. This was one of several crash fixes bundled into launch week's second hotfix, alongside a client/server version-mismatch check and an invite-code length fix. If you're on version 0.10.0.2 or later and still crashing specifically around Tortuga, it's a different, unreported issue rather than a recurrence of this one.
