SEED market orders failing or stuck: causes and fixes

A market/trade order in SEED fails to complete, gets stuck mid-delivery, or the traded item goes missing entirely.

Klang has confirmed this directly rather than leaving it to guesswork: a September 11, 2026 dev post titled "An Update On Market Reliability" says the failure rate has dropped from roughly 20% to roughly 4% since Early Access launch, and identifies the remaining causes as setup problems in the simulation rather than a single bug — a full buyer inbox that can't accept the delivery, not enough Seedlings scheduled to haul it, or a hauling Seedling getting incapacitated or killed mid-delivery. Klang also spelled out who's responsible for a stuck delivery at any given moment: the seller owns it until it reaches the Spaceport for a cross-sector trade, and the buyer owns it once it's in the same sector. That means most of this is something you can actually check and fix on your side, not a pure server bug to wait out.
