Launching the game or logging into the BSG Launcher fails with "Error 213", sometimes alongside error 0 in the same session.

Error 213 means the launcher failed to reach Battlestate's authentication server. Battlestate's own account confirmed this exact code was part of the same high-traffic backend strain as error 0 during the November 15, 2025 Steam 1.0 launch — the identical official statement ("Our technical team is actively working to stabilise the game servers and authorisation services") covered errors 213, 418, and "there is no game with name eft" together, per gaming outlet Gamepressure's coverage of that launch-day statement. Outside a confirmed high-traffic window, players also link 213 to local network permission issues, since it can clear up after running the launcher as administrator.
