A group is found and the match is about to start, then the game drops you back to the login screen or main menu. Players say the failed connect cost them their crystals and weapon and armor upgrades.

This looks like a match-connect failure on Gravebound's side: nothing in your settings is described as the cause. Players in three Steam threads from 23 to 25 September report being sent back to login after a group was found, in some cases twice in a row.

They also report losing crystals and gear upgrades after the failed connect. It is reported, not confirmed: no Crater Studios statement was seen at source.

A player says a Discord announcement now protects your starting gear if you crash or disconnect, and that crystals lost to disconnects were refunded on request. We have not seen either at source.

    Check the Discord for the starting-gear protection post (relayed)

    A player quoted a Discord announcement saying starting gear is now protected "for now": if you die, crash, disconnect or fail to extract, you keep the gear you went in with but lose what you collected that run. This was relayed second-hand in a Steam thread and not seen at source, so check the official Discord to see whether it still applies.

    Ask a GM in the official Discord for a crystal refund (relayed)

    A player said crystals lost to disconnects were being refunded and to ask a GM in the official Discord, discord.gg/eauW8HhWEq. Another reply says the game's join-Discord button, next to ready up, opens it. Both are player accounts, so a refund is not guaranteed. Give them your Steam name and what you lost.

    No confirmed fix yet. Nothing on your end is described as causing it, and Crater Studios has not been seen acknowledging this specific login-screen kick in the threads we checked. Check the Gravebound status page at /gravebound/ before retrying, since repeat failures cost one player their gear twice in a row.
