Delta Force ACE security/anti-cheat error (fix)

The game crashes to desktop during launch with the dialog "Error ACE Center in game. An exception occurred [while] the game security component was running, please close unnecessary software or other games, or restart the machine and try again. 1-0-0" instead of reaching the main menu.

ACE (AntiCheat Expert) is a separate Windows service Delta Force installs and relies on to launch; when that service is disabled, blocked by security software, or conflicts with Windows' Memory Integrity (Core Isolation) feature, the game throws a security/exception error instead of starting. This is a local configuration problem, not a server-side issue — reinstalling or re-enabling the ACE service directly is the most-reported fix.
What to try
- 01Open your Delta Force install folder (Steam Library > right-click Delta Force > Properties > Installed Files > Browse) and navigate to Game\DeltaForce\Binaries\Win64\AntiCheatExpert. Run ACE-Setup64, click Yes/OK to confirm, then restart Delta Force to reinstall the service.Reported
- 02If that doesn't help, open services.msc (Windows Run dialog), find "AntiCheatExpert Service" and "AntiCheatExpert Protection," and set their startup type to Manual or Automatic if either is Disabled.Reported
