Trying to load into a Beautiful Light playtest build shows a dialog reading exactly: "Coordinator Connection Error: Connection failed because your client is out of date. Please update your client."
This comes from a single report during Beautiful Light's very first closed-alpha playtest on December 14, 2025 — a tester quoted the dialog text word-for-word while chatting about that day's playtest launch in the official Discord. Nobody else in the same conversation confirmed hitting it, and no developer replied. The message names its own cause (a version mismatch between your Steam client and the "Coordinator," Beautiful Light's matchmaking/session service), which lines up with what this kind of error usually means in other online games, but with only one report and over nine months passed, there's no way to confirm it still appears in the current build. Worth knowing: as of mid-September 2026, players in the Discord were openly asking whether another playtest would happen at all before Early Access, so there's been no newer test to re-check this against.
