Expedition: Into Darkness error codes and crash fixes
Every error, crash and connection failure we have a fix for, one page per code. Before the fix, each page says whether the problem is your machine or the studio's servers — because if it's theirs, no amount of verifying game files will help, and the only useful answer is whether it's happening right now.
Things you can fix
Crashes, install faults and driver conflicts. Find your symptom, work the steps in order, stop when it launches.
Expedition: Into Darkness crashing at launch (fix)
The game crashes immediately when hitting Play, or hangs on the loading screen for many minutes (sometimes 30-40+) before the player force-quits — with RAM usage climbing steadily while it hangs.
Expedition: Into Darkness stuck loading after update (fix)
After a patch, the game's loading indicator stops moving on startup; a prompt appears asking whether to keep waiting or close the game, and waiting doesn't help. Verifying game files through Steam doesn't fix it.
Things you cannot
Queues, capacity limits and login failures. These are server-side — every page below links back to live status rather than a fix you can perform yourself.
Expedition: Into Darkness co-op desync and rubber-banding (fix)
In a multiplayer run, players and enemies appear frozen or walking in place from the other player's perspective; interactions like opening a chest fail and then fire late on their own, minutes later. Gets worse the longer the session runs rather than staying constant.
Expedition: Into Darkness lobby stuck at 0/5, can't start (fix)
The party lobby shows "0/5" even though you're in it, and pressing start after picking a map does nothing — including when trying to play solo offline. Only a full game restart clears it, and it can recur.
How these are graded
Every fix step carries a label. Confirmed means players demonstrably got back in with it, or the studio said so directly.Reported means it worked for some people and not others. Unconfirmed means it's circulating and there's no evidence either way yet. The distinction is the point — a page that lists five fixes with equal confidence costs you an evening.
